Ever since my last update on Mastering the Freestanding Handstand I have made some decent progress on getting to a freestanding 60 sec handstand.
As you can see in the video, I am able to keep my body more tense which allows to maintain a hollow body position for longer. My head position is still not ideal but that habit of tilting my head is hard to correct.
One of the things I am still struggling with is to get into the handstand position. Transitioning from the dynamic kick-up to a static hold where I only use my fingers for balancing will still need more practice and coordination. I will also have to spend more time on my hands, i.e. to build the necessary endurance that will allow my hands to support my bodyweight for at least 60 seconds.
In any case, I think it will take several more weeks before I can claim the 60 sec free handstand. I will keep you posted once I get the 60 sec footage in.
