New sensor technology in the medical sector is appearing so quickly you can’t keep up with the news. Some time ago, I have written about the Scanadu which is a showcase device for revolutionising new sensors.
The latest innovation is the „Emperor LX“. These kind of new devices will eventually become common practice at every physician’s office in maybe 10-20 years. Rather than measuring each biomarker (e.g. blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature, oxygen saturation) separately using specified tools, the Emperor combines all of them in one device. It is still is a bit primitive and the biomarkers are still very crude and basic.
Eventually, I hope somebody will develop sensors which will be able to analyse a person’s blood panel continuously (similar to the continuous monitoring of blood glucose level today) without having to draw blood and going through the logistics behind it.
